Crafternoon Workshops Scheduled for Spring Semester
We're calling all makers, artists, crafters, and those looking to try something new or have fun, to join us for Crafternoon! The Library and Student Government Association are looking forward to hosting our craft workshop series again this spring semester for students, faculty, and staff. Workshops are held in the Library’s Group Study Area room 105A on the lower level of Main Campus Library as well as other campus locations noted below. Workshops will also be held at the Orange County Campus

New tech equipment for students, faculty, and staff to borrow!
Do you need equipment to better participate in your online class meetings, record a class lecture, or narrate a PowerPoint presentation? We now have webcams and microphone headsets available for checkout. Are you an AFA student who needs high-quality digital images of your artworks? We now have a Canon PowerShot digital camera for your photography needs. Small Steps to Improve Heart Health for Heart Month (February)
We may be reaching the end of February and American Heart Month, but we can pump out a month-end blog post. (That pun was weak. I know. Let's not talk about it, okay?) This year's theme is "Live to the Beat," which aims to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in Black adults ages 35 to 54 by taking small steps to address key risk factors such as hypertension, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar. Spring Library Technology Lending: Tech Tools, Laptops, & Calculators!
Fall 2024 was rough, y'all. The Library ran out of both loaner laptops and calculators within the first weeks of class and, we were operating on a waitlist for the whole 16 weeks. We hated it as much as you did. THANKFULLY, we're mostly great now and ready to check out Chromebooks and loaner calculators to those who need them thanks to our NC DIT Digital Champion Grant which will allow us to buy more and refresh our current circulating Chromebooks AND purchase additional TI-84 graphing
