On November 8, North Carolinians will cast their ballots for the 2022 midterm elections. Non-presidential elections often see fewer than half of the total eligible voters cast their ballot during midterm elections, according to North Carolina's State Board of Elections. If you are reading this and will be at least age 18 by election day, you can make an impact by being an informed and engaged citizen and casting your ballot in November, or during the early voting period (October 20 - November 5)

Opposing Viewpoints in Context is an online resource covering today’s important social issues such as computer hacking, immigration, same-sex marriage, and voting rights. The differing viewpoints present each side of an issue and help students develop critical thinking skills and draw their own conclusions. Every summer, AudioFile's Sync summer "reading" program provides free weekly downloads of two audiobooks: one contemporary YA book and one work of classic literature that relates to the same theme. Need to use the Durham Tech Libraries next week? Well, our hours will temporarily change. The College will be closed Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28.
