What We're Recommending for AAPIHM
May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. Click read more to check out some awesome reads by and about Asian and Pacific Islander Americans from our in-person collection and from our Dogwood Digital Collection of ebooks and audiobooks. Nonfiction and poetry on display at the Main Campus-- Other books by AAPI authors in our collections-- Dogwood Digital books can be downloaded and read through the Libby app, just like your local public library (though our holds list is likely much shorter).

The Above Average Reading Challenge: Read 20 in 20
Did you know that Americans read an average of 12 books per year?* Want to overachieve or just set a goal for yourself to be above average in 2020? Good news! The Durham Tech Library is here to support your reading goals with the Above Average Reading Challenge: 20 Books in 2020. How to I participate? To participate, you just start reading! You don’t have to sign up and you can start and finish at any point in 2020. Twenty books is roughly one book every two weeks if you want to space this out
Open Education Week: March 4-8, 2019
There are worldwide events and webinars this week to increase awareness about textbook costs as barriers to education and the potential for technology to enhance teaching and learning. Durham Tech Library advocates for Open Educational Resources and provides support for faculty and staff interested in exploring OER.
