Library Benefits from Middle Eastern Studies Grant
Thanks to a grant that earmarked $3000 for library resources, the Durham Tech library expanded its collections of Middle East-related materials. The grant was funded by the Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studie s. Made possible by Consortium’s Title VI funding, the grant, locally administered by Shannon Hahn, allowed the library to add over 100 new titles to its collections. Here is a list of the titles the library purchased and here is the Middle Eastern Studies LibGuide. The library

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: The NCAA Basketball Tournaments
If you're a college basketball fan--like I am--then maybe you consider this the most wonderful time of the year. The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament's "Round of 64" is underway as of today and the Division I Women's Tournament begins tomorrow. So, what has that got to do with the Durham Tech library? Well, you may be surprised at how much information we provide about basketball, with a bevy of library resources. For example, do you know who coined the term "March Madness" and how the
Explore Shakespeare & other English Classics with Digital Theatre+
Earlier this year we highlighted an exciting new addition to Durham Tech Library's resources, Digital Theatre+. We're revisiting it today to share how instructors and students alike can enjoy rich resources like streaming videos of live theatre, literary theme analysis, and more. Click "continue reading" to see a real example of how, with Digital Theatre+, students and instructors can transform their understanding and discussions of a classic text. We use Macbeth as an example, but there are a
June is Audiobook Month
Hello, all you wonderful people out there! June is Audiobook Month, and I'm here to tell you why you should consider audiobooks if you don't already listen to them and where to find more audiobooks if you do. Audiobook listening is on the rise. People listen to them to make a commute more pleasant, to distract themselves from folding laundry, or hear an author read their book the way they meant it to be heard. Also, it's easy and fun! Let's get something out of the way. There are people out

Here are three books about coffee available through ebrary. Click on the covers below to read them online, download them to your device, or just stare at
Can't Go to the Art Museum? Check out our virtual student art show
At the end of the spring semester, the Library and the Durham Tech Fine Arts classes come together to host a student art display. We look forward to this event each year. With the physical library closed, the annual art display was [obviously] cancelled, but we still wanted to find a way to highlight some of the wonderful art that Durham Tech students created this year, so we've created a virtual art show two ways. https://youtu.be/O6QznvW7iT4 Need to spend a little more timing browsing
