Laptop Loaner Program at the Library
Are you using your phone to access your online coursework? Do you need a laptop for the upcoming semester? Do you know a student who needs one? As we all know, students who don't have access to the technology they need to do their school work are at a disadvantage in their classes. A smartphone is useful, but it's hard to complete a lot of coursework on a phone. And typing papers? No good. Fall Semester is Coming!
Fall classes start on Monday, August 16, which means next week is Fall Semester Preparation Week! The Library (and the College with the exception of the Bookstore) will be closed to students on Monday, August 9 for professional development. Great new resource for debates and pro/con research
Opposing Viewpoints in Context is an online resource covering today’s important social issues such as computer hacking, immigration, same-sex marriage, and voting rights. The differing viewpoints present each side of an issue and help students develop critical thinking skills and draw their own conclusions. Content includes viewpoint articles, newspaper, magazine and academic journal articles, videos, audio, recommended websites, graphics, and statistics. It's an excellent place to begin

May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. Click read more to check out some awesome reads by and about Asian and Pacific Islander Americans from our in-person collection and from our Dogwood Digital Collection of ebooks and audiobooks. Nonfiction and poetry on display at the Main Campus-- Other books by AAPI authors in our collections-- Dogwood Digital books can be downloaded and read through the Libby app, just like your local public library (though our holds list is likely much shorter).
