Dr. Maya Angelou, one of the most celebrated and admired poets, novelists, and civil-rights activists in the United States, died last month at her home in Winston Salem. The library has many of Maya Angelou's works including her novels, poetry collections, autobiographies, essays, and cookbook. Check the online catalog for titles. We are pleased to add the Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning film Boyhood. The film follows a boy named Mason and his family as he experiences the pleasure and pain of growing up. Notable for being filmed with the same cast over a 12 year period, we can watch as the actors themselves grow with the roles they play.
