It's December 1, which means you have 30 (or 31, depending how you count it) days to complete your 2021 Read Great Things Challenge and/or the 2021 Reading SPRINT! Since the Read Great Things Challenge is year-long, if you're planning on reading that last book or two over winter break, go for it! You have time! If you've already finished books throughout 2021 that fit into at least 10 of the 12 RGT2021 categories, you can go ahead and fill out the online completion form or drop your paper form
In addition to almost being Earth Day, it's time for April's Crafternoon! Current students can pick up a spring flower kit that includes a seed packet of flowers, a small bag of potting soil, a ceramic pot, and a set of paints and brush to decorate your pot in one of two places: 1) in the Main Campus Library or 2) at the Food Pantry's outdoor pickup location (outside of Phillips). It's winter in Sokcho, a tourist town on the border between South and North Korea. The cold slows everything down. A young French Korean woman works as a receptionist in a tired guesthouse. One evening, an unexpected guest arrives: a French cartoonist determined to find inspiration in this desolate landscape. She agrees to accompany him on trips to discover an "authentic" Korea, [b]ut he takes no interest in the Sokcho she knows. As she's pulled into his vision and taken in by his drawings, she
