What We're Reading: The Brothers K
Title: The Brothers K Author: David James Duncan Genre: literary fiction Why did you choose to read this book? I have a Goodreads account and this book kept showing up on my recommendations, even though I’d never heard of the author. In a small mill town in Washington State, a former minor-league baseball pitcher and his Seventh-Day Adventist wife raise five children. The book follows the members of the family from the late 1950s through the early 1970s. What did you like about it? I liked the
Reading COLORful Books: A book with a color in the title
Consult your color wheel or box of crayons and choose a book with a color in the title to complete your Read Great Things 2021 Challenge. If you're into double-dipping, we have a lot of really excellent books about race and racial justice that would also count as A book about social justice or equity with black or white in the title. We also have a good number of green books in our Phail Wynn Collection on the Main Campus. These are just a few of the options available through the Durham Tech
Dance as Cultural Reflection and Influence

Books about dance or that feature dance, both non-fiction and fiction, academic texts to children's books. Complete with dance shoes and a poster advertising the upcoming Dancing the African Diaspora event with Dr. DeFrantz. Dr. Thomas DeFrantz is a professor at Duke University teaching African American Studies, Dance, and Women's Studies. He'll be coming to share his knowledge as

You'll need to sign in, so make sure you have your Durham Tech ID or know your Durham Tech ID number. Crafternoons are hands-on workshops sponsored by the Durham Tech Library and the Student Enrichment Department. Keep reading for a little more information about each event and don't
