Popular Fiction, Available Now!
Are you number 217* on the public library's hold list for popular fiction, such as Delia Owens' Where the Crawdads Sing? Books on the screen!
So many great books are hitting the screen this fall, either as TV shows or movies. Many are already out or available on streaming platforms. Here are a few book adaptations that we're looking forward to watching or are currently enjoying. If you would like to read one of these but it's not available at our libraries, you may request it through Interlibrary loan. Happy reading and watching!
Book Club Meeting

New Library Resource: Credo Reference
Credo Reference Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research projects and assignments. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 200 videos. This is an excellent resource for finding background information from reference sources. The topic pages have in-depth articles that give a nice overview and explanation of thousands of topics. Read to honor Dr. King's legacy on MLK Holiday
Durham Tech Health and Wellness Instructor, Wilma Herndon, invites you to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day by participating in the Day of Reading event. Library Fall Break Hours
The Durham Tech Academic Calendar at http://www.durhamtech.edu/html/prospective/calendar.htm tells us that fall break for students is almost here! During fall break, the Durham Tech ERC main campus library will operate on a reduced schedule, from 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday October 11 and Friday October 12, then closed on Saturday October 13. No classes are in session during this time, so the ERC library computer lab will be closed Thursday and Friday and no free printing will be available
