Verily and such...and Luke and Leia.
In the library, we like books and movies. Some of us also like cheesy internet promotions that combine Shakespeare and Star Wars. For a minute or two of fun, check out the Star Wars Sonnet Generator. Have at-eth it! (Now that you know-eth of these tomes, do you need-eth a copy? Ask or email the library about interlibrary loan, and we can get you a copy to check out. Forsooth!)

It's July! That means it is time for pie, unbearable heat, and a fresh crop of books to read! Bonus: we're giving away FREE BOOKS in the library right now. They are on a cart next to the entrance. We're adding new ones all the time so even if you stopped by before, come check again.
Books About Writing
Now that NaNoWriMo has started, here are a few books at the library that can help get the creative juices flowing. Here are tips, tricks, and advice from writers of both fiction and nonfiction. Out Loud in the Library: Episode 3
This week in Out Loud in the Library I spoke with Charmaine Grafton, President of the Student Government Association. For all those who have met her, you already know she is a delightful and authentic person. It was a pleasure to get to speak to her and learn about what the SGA is up to this year. They are adapting to the online environment admirably. But, I don't need to tell you that. You can listen for yourself!

Are you participating in the library's Read Great Things Challenge 2019? Do you need suggestions for books about immigration? Here are some recent books, both nonfiction and fiction, that explore immigration and the immigrant and refugee experience. These are now available in the library collection.

Sports! And Reading!
With all the recent less-than-heartening news about college athletes and academics, it's nice to see something positive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbYGCu26xVU Read the article here about University of Georgia's Malcolm Mitchell and the book club he joined to help him improve his reading. Our favorite part? Wait, but what about the touchdowns? "That came natural," Mitchell said. "That's a gift. I had to work to read." While we don't have a book club, we do have lots of great books for you to
