What You Could Be Watching: The Hayti Heritage Film Festival
The Hayti Heritage Film Festival, created in 1994 to create and celebrate a "Black film ecosystem in the South" and normally held in Durham at St. Joseph's United AME Church, is mostly virtual this year. Now in its 27th year, the films are centered around the theme of "The Hero's Journey," and has a combination of films and panels, running from Monday, March 1 to Saturday, March 6. Winter Break and Looking Forward to 2022
The end of the semester is upon us! The last day the Durham Tech Library will be open and Durham Tech Library staff will be available is Friday, December 17. All Durham Tech Libraries will be closed Monday and Tuesday, December 20-21 and the College will be closed from Wednesday, December 22 through Monday, January 3. Maurice Sendak and Where the Wild Things Are

NDC Librarian Toshi Shonek publishes third book of poetry

Toshi's daughter created the art work for each of her book covers. Toshi has worked at Durham Tech for about thirteen years. Before Durham Tech, she was a librarian at Duke University.
