Durham Tech Library advocates for Open Educational Resources and provides support for faculty and staff interested in exploring OER. NC LIVE, North Carolina’s statewide public and academic library consortium, has added 980 new ebooks to Home Grown, a collection of fiction and nonfiction works from North Carolina-based publishers. The new additions were purchased with the generous donations of North Carolina libraries and feature a wide variety of titles, including novels by popular North Carolina authors, poetry, young adult, short stories and nonfiction. Readers may enjoy new titles such as And West is West by Ron Childress
Credo Reference Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research projects and assignments. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 200 videos. This is an excellent resource for finding background information from reference sources. The topic pages have in-depth articles that give a nice overview and explanation of thousands of topics. Waiting for your books to arrive or need to save some cash this summer? The library has many textbooks on reserve for you to borrow in-library for 2 hours at a time. Give us a call or stop by to see if we have something that can help you out for the summer semester! Remember that we offer our regular library services over the summer as well, including research and citation help, inter-library loan, book check-out, a computer lab, and upstairs printing for $.05 a page.
