Welcome back, Durham Tech! As we begin the Fall 2017 semester, a few friendly library reminders: Your student ID is your pass into the library. Current students need to have a up-to-date student ID. There will be a grace period the first week of classes, but after that, each student only gets 2 passes a semester (alternate photo ID required). It may only be mid-May, but Durham Tech is getting ready to ramp up for Summer Session classes (starting May 23). The Library hours will be changing for the summer beginning Monday, May 16. Come see us at the Main Campus Library Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Come visit the Orange County Campus librarian Monday or Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (the library space may be open additional hours in accordance with front desk staffing). The library discovered a neat new tool called the North Carolina Literary Map, which is a free resource produced by the University Libraries at UNC Greensboro in collaboration with the North Carolina Center for the Book. The NC Literary Map identifies North Carolina places associated with more than 3000 writers and more than 4700 of their books with an interactive online tool that is designed to foster interest in the state’s rich literary tradition. Travelers interested in literary sites
