Credo Reference Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research projects and assignments. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 200 videos. This is an excellent resource for finding background information from reference sources. The topic pages have in-depth articles that give a nice overview and explanation of thousands of topics. Did you know that the Durham Tech Library has a whole collection of children's picture books? Well, we do! They are located against the wall on the lower level of the library. We have classics, awards winners, and freshly published titles for you check out. My personal favorites are the ones with dragons in them. Dragons are great. Come by and check some out. I bet someone wants you to read to them!
There are worldwide events and webinars this week to increase awareness about textbook costs as barriers to education and the potential for technology to enhance teaching and learning. Durham Tech Library advocates for Open Educational Resources and provides support for faculty and staff interested in exploring OER. Thinking about coming to the book club? There's still time! The Durham Tech Library Book Club meets on February 4th at 1:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Schwartz Room in Building 5.
