Are you participating in the library's Read Great Things Challenge 2019? Do you need suggestions for books about immigration? Here are some recent books, both nonfiction and fiction, that explore immigration and the immigrant and refugee experience. These are now available in the library collection.
Check out our new books for June. Even thought these are primarily nonfiction, we have lots of popular and literary fiction for summer reading. In addition to almost being Earth Day, it's time for April's Crafternoon! Current students can pick up a spring flower kit that includes a seed packet of flowers, a small bag of potting soil, a ceramic pot, and a set of paints and brush to decorate your pot in one of two places: 1) in the Main Campus Library or 2) at the Food Pantry's outdoor pickup location (outside of Phillips). Welcome back from Summer vacation. While you were gone the library has added a lot of DVDs to our circulating collection. All of them are available for check out a week at a time. We now have two great online guides for finding movies in the library's collection. One guide is for browsing titles by movie genre such as Action, History, Sports, etc... and the other is an alphabetical listing of films in our collection. We hope you'll discover lots of films that you want to watch. Thanks to our library staff member, Lauren Havens, for all of her hard work creating these new resources. The library recently added nearly twenty new contemporary art books to our collection thanks to the Art Resources Transfer program sponsored by The Distribution to Underserved Communities Library Program (D.U.C.). The D.U.C. distributes books on contemporary art and culture free of charge to rural and inner-city libraries, schools, prisons, and alternative education centers nationwide. By enriching library collections with art resources, the program fosters arts education, literacy, and access
