The Library and Student Government Association are looking forward to hosting our craft workshop series again this spring semester for students, faculty, and staff. Workshops are held in the Library’s Group Study Area room 105A on the lower level of Main Campus Library as well as other campus locations noted below. In addition to almost being Earth Day, it's time for April's Crafternoon! Current students can pick up a spring flower kit that includes a seed packet of flowers, a small bag of potting soil, a ceramic pot, and a set of paints and brush to decorate your pot in one of two places: 1) in the Main Campus Library or 2) at the Food Pantry's outdoor pickup location (outside of Phillips). Dr. Katherine Johnson, part of the human computer team at NASA and responsible for hand calculating NASA's path to space, has died at 101. She graduated from West Virginia State College with degrees in math and French and briefly worked as a teacher before working for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (which would later become NASA) at Langley Research Center.
