Take a book with you on vacation!
Here are some brand new books that you can check out from the library this week or next week. Our new book shelf is stocked with many new fiction and nonfiction titles for you to borrow. Please note that the library will be closed Aug. 3 - Aug. 9th. We'll open again on Aug. 10th. Happy summer reading!
Verily and such...and Luke and Leia.
In the library, we like books and movies. Some of us also like cheesy internet promotions that combine Shakespeare and Star Wars. For a minute or two of fun, check out the Star Wars Sonnet Generator. Have at-eth it! (Now that you know-eth of these tomes, do you need-eth a copy? Ask or email the library about interlibrary loan, and we can get you a copy to check out. Forsooth!)
Virtual Student Art Show
Welcome to the Durham Tech Virtual Student Art Show! Presented by Viva the Arts, it showcases over 100 pieces from students in our Fine Arts classes. Navigate through the show below or open it in a new window at this link. We're thankful to be able to continue to showcase our talented students despite the pandemic. If you're interested in purchasing a piece of art contact Tim Postell (postellt@durhamtech.edu). Questions, comments, or concerns can be sent to Courtney Bippley (bippleyc@durhamtech

Hello, hello, hello! The podcast is back after a short break and this time I spoke with Durham Tech librarian Tracey Callison about our new Spanish Language Collection. She put in the leg work to make this happen. Find out how a library collection gets put together, why having more Spanish language materials is important, and what Tracey is reading! (Hint: She's reading one of our favorites!) Find the 2021 Read Great Things Challenge categories on the library blog! Follow the library on Facebook
