All of the library staff would like to extend their congratulations to the Durham Tech Class of '15! Here's the information you need to prepare for and participate in DTCC commencement activities. Note that you have to purchase your graduation outfit by May 14, attend rehearsal (this is required!) for the graduation ceremony on May 18 at 10:30 a.m. and show up for the actual ceremony on May 18 at 4 p.m. It has been a pleasure to work with you. Best of luck!
As Durham Tech gets new students, so too does the library get new books. Take a look below to see if a title catches your fancy, and be sure to come by the library and look over our New Book Shelf for more titles that aren't on this list. We have so many amazing new books (and beautiful covers) this month! I'm including more than usual and I STILL couldn't include them all. You're going to have to stop by and check them out yourself. (See what I did there :) )
Check these out! [gallery type="circle" link="none" ids="1971,1970,1969,1968,1967,1974,1975,1976,1977,1978" orderby="rand"]
It's July! That means it is time for pie, unbearable heat, and a fresh crop of books to read! Bonus: we're giving away FREE BOOKS in the library right now. They are on a cart next to the entrance. We're adding new ones all the time so even if you stopped by before, come check again.
Why not celebrate both the end of the semester and the season of snacks with a food-related book from the Durham Tech library? Click on an image for more details about a title. There is still time to check out one (or two or three or four!) of these new books to read over Thanksgiving Break. Books are a great conversation started at dinner and a great way to get some peace amidst the hectic Thanksgiving hubbub. We have SO MANY great new books that I can't include all of them. Some of the books not pictured are written by or about such notable people as Jackie Chan, Stan Lee, Harvey Milk, Malcolm Gladwell, Lois Lowry, Dapper Dan, and Edward Snowden. So come grab a book!
For those who enjoy reading, summer can be a great time to re-read old favorites, discover new authors, or just make a dent in a to-read list. Click through the slideshow to see Durham Tech Faculty & Staff's incredibly diverse favorite reads of summer 2016.
