The library has a display on the lower level of medical memoirs written from the perspective of patients, nurses, doctors, and health care workers. We also feature a few related DVDs as well. A few of these titles are at the Orange County campus. Just let us know if you want to have a title sent over to your campus. The Library is excited to host a student art exhibition featuring art works from Durham Tech's Drawing, Painting, 2-D and 3-D Design classes. The official opening and reception for students and their families is Saturday, April 16 from 11:00 - 1:00. Works will remain on display until May 6th. The library has rescheduled a few of our Citation Workshops due to the winter weather. All workshops will be held in the library's computer lab room 520. No pre-registration required. Did you know that the Durham Tech Library has a whole collection of children's picture books? Well, we do! They are located against the wall on the lower level of the library. We have classics, awards winners, and freshly published titles for you check out. My personal favorites are the ones with dragons in them. Dragons are great. Come by and check some out. I bet someone wants you to read to them!
We are pleased to add the Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning film Boyhood. The film follows a boy named Mason and his family as he experiences the pleasure and pain of growing up. Notable for being filmed with the same cast over a 12 year period, we can watch as the actors themselves grow with the roles they play.
