Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. This semester--and continuing through 2017--NC LIVE is subscribing to some new resources you'll want to use! The Library and Student Government Association are hosting craft workshops this spring semester. We made felted wool creations last week. All workshops are from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Library’s Group Study Area room 105A on the lower level. We hope you'll mark your calendars to join us for all of the events. So many great books are hitting the screen this fall, either as TV shows or movies. Many are already out or available on streaming platforms. Here are a few book adaptations that we're looking forward to watching or are currently enjoying. If you would like to read one of these but it's not available at our libraries, you may request it through Interlibrary loan. Happy reading and watching!

Fall classes start on Monday, August 16, which means next week is Fall Semester Preparation Week! The Library (and the College with the exception of the Bookstore) will be closed to students on Monday, August 9 for professional development.
