The library has a display on the lower level of medical memoirs written from the perspective of patients, nurses, doctors, and health care workers. We also feature a few related DVDs as well. A few of these titles are at the Orange County campus. Just let us know if you want to have a title sent over to your campus. There is still time to check out one (or two or three or four!) of these new books to read over Thanksgiving Break. Books are a great conversation started at dinner and a great way to get some peace amidst the hectic Thanksgiving hubbub. We have SO MANY great new books that I can't include all of them. Some of the books not pictured are written by or about such notable people as Jackie Chan, Stan Lee, Harvey Milk, Malcolm Gladwell, Lois Lowry, Dapper Dan, and Edward Snowden. So come grab a book!

We are starting off the New Year with a few technical difficulties. The most important of these is that the computers in the library computer lab have crashed, and so right now our computer lab is closed. Our upstairs public computers are available for use; you can print b/w copies for 5 cents a page or we can help you save your work to print later. Free printing (10 pages a day) for Durham Tech students is available at the Wynn Center computer lab. Our IT department is working hard to resolve

Did you know that the Durham Tech Library has a whole collection of children's picture books? Well, we do! They are located against the wall on the lower level of the library. We have classics, awards winners, and freshly published titles for you check out. My personal favorites are the ones with dragons in them. Dragons are great. Come by and check some out. I bet someone wants you to read to them!
