It (probably?) should go without saying that snakes and other pets are not allowed in the Durham Tech Library, but just in case you were wondering, based on a pretty popular news article going around lately, service animals must be approved as per college policy. Snakes are not approved service animals. New tech equipment for students, faculty, and staff to borrow!
Do you need equipment to better participate in your online class meetings, record a class lecture, or narrate a PowerPoint presentation? We now have webcams and microphone headsets available for checkout. Are you an AFA student who needs high-quality digital images of your artworks? We now have a Canon PowerShot digital camera for your photography needs. Spring Library Technology Lending: Tech Tools, Laptops, & Calculators!
Fall 2024 was rough, y'all. The Library ran out of both loaner laptops and calculators within the first weeks of class and, we were operating on a waitlist for the whole 16 weeks. We hated it as much as you did. THANKFULLY, we're mostly great now and ready to check out Chromebooks and loaner calculators to those who need them thanks to our NC DIT Digital Champion Grant which will allow us to buy more and refresh our current circulating Chromebooks AND purchase additional TI-84 graphing
