The library has just added Pronunciator to its lineup of online resources. Pronunciator is a language learning website, which runs on just about any computer or device. On a computer you’ll need a browser with a recent version of Java and Flash, speakers and a microphone. Simply go to the library homepage and choose " Articles and Electronic Resources." On November 8, North Carolinians will cast their ballots for the 2022 midterm elections. Non-presidential elections often see fewer than half of the total eligible voters cast their ballot during midterm elections, according to North Carolina's State Board of Elections. If you are reading this and will be at least age 18 by election day, you can make an impact by being an informed and engaged citizen and casting your ballot in November, or during the early voting period (October 20 - November 5)

Every summer, AudioFile's Sync summer "reading" program provides free weekly downloads of two audiobooks: one contemporary YA book and one work of classic literature that relates to the same theme. JSTOR is a digital library including thousands of academic journals, books, and primary source documents in the humanities, social sciences, sciences and math. You can search using keywords in their search box, like this search on “Alice Walker”… or you can browse content by subject area, by title, or by publisher. NC LIVE, North Carolina’s statewide public and academic library consortium, has added 980 new ebooks to Home Grown, a collection of fiction and nonfiction works from North Carolina-based publishers. The new additions were purchased with the generous donations of North Carolina libraries and feature a wide variety of titles, including novels by popular North Carolina authors, poetry, young adult, short stories and nonfiction.
