News: After family health tragedies, Dr. Letitia Johnson-Arnold vowed to change community health
Johnson-Arnold became Coordinator for the Community Health Worker program at Durham Tech in October 2021.

News: Community leaders re-elected to top positions of Durham Tech Board of Trustees
Longtime community leaders John F. Burness and Dr. Tara L. Fikes have been reelected as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, of the Durham Technical Community College Board of Trustees.
The two were first elected to their posts in the fall of 2017 for the 2017-18 academic year.
Center for Workforce Engagement
The Center for Workforce Engagement supports the development and promotion of curriculum programming, short-term and certification training that meet labor market demand and increase employment opportunities for our community.
News: 60 for 60: Durham Tech was a pioneer in offering Microelectronics program
In the 1980s, electronics, microelectronics, robotics, and technology began to boom in Durham and the Research Triangle Park. 

Leadership at Durham Technical Institute wanted the College to provide the necessary training for those career fields.  

On May 18, 1983, the state board of community colleges approved funding for the development of a microelectronics technology program. This funding allowed Durham Tech to become one of the first two-year colleges in North Carolina to provide microelectronics training.   
Manicuring (Continuing Education)
The 300-hour course teaches the art of caring for the hands and feet. After successfully completing the course, the students will be able to sit for the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art's exam to be a licensed Manicurist.
Marketing and Communications Service Requests
Complete the appropriate form and attach supporting materials as needed. Completion time for requests will vary based on availability and complexity. Please allow as much lead time as possible.
News: Durham Tech Foundation welcomes new board members
The Durham Tech Foundation has welcomed three distinguished community leaders to its Board of Directors who bring extensive professional experience and valuable community connections. Kelly Calabria, Emilee Collins, and Kenneth Gibbs have demonstrated their dedication to the local community through their leadership and advocacy roles and are committed to advancing Durham Tech’s mission.
