Marcia Angle and Mark Trustin have donated a sizeable sum to the Durham Technical Community College Foundation, including $50,000 to support Durham Public School students enrolled in courses at Durham Tech. The $50,000 will purchase textbooks for students beginning in the 2023-2024 school year who are part of the recently announced DPS-Durham Tech Partnership.
October is Cybersecurity Month, and it began at Durham Tech with a lunch-and-learn with Susan Cropp of the FBI on “Biosecurity from a Law Enforcement Perspective.”

Durham Technical Community College will make several advancements to its Information Technology program and infrastructure with a recent $500,000 grant. The donation was made by an anonymous donor and will allow the College to improve its Information Technology program and to upgrade the wireless service at all campus locations in an initiative known as the Durham Tech Advanced Innovation Learning Spaces, or DTAILS, project.
The Public Safety Management Certificate is designed to provide students, as well as practitioners, with knowledge and skills in the technical, managerial, and administrative areas necessary for entrance or advancement within various public safety management job positions
The Excellence in Support Services Award at Durham Tech is an presented to non-faculty employees. It is designed to promote excellence and innovation and to encourage employee dedication in service to Durham Tech.
Eligible students will receive grants and scholarship funds for free tuition during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.
