Public Health Education
Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in Public Health Studies should complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree which will transfer to all UNC System schools, most North Carolina independent colleges and universities, and most out of state institutions.

The Public Safety Management Certificate is designed to provide students, as well as practitioners, with knowledge and skills in the technical, managerial, and administrative areas necessary for entrance or advancement within various public safety management job positions

Durham Tech graduate Kilie Fetzer has been named the 2025 ApprenticeshipNC Outstanding Registered Apprentice after finding her passion while working as a receptionist at a surgeon’s office, where she learned about surgical tech careers. 

“One of the amazing surgeons knew my frustrations of wanting to go back to school to further my education but having no idea what I wanted to do,” Fetzer said. “He offered to let me shadow him in the operating room to observe and see if anything sparked my interest. That’s when I learned what a surgical technologist is.” 
Public Safety Administration - Transfer Associate Degree
The Public Safety Administration Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree curriculum is designed to provide students, as well as practitioners, with knowledge and skills in the technical, managerial, and administrative areas necessary for entrance or advancement within various public safety and government organizations.
Bio-Agriculture Program Readiness Opportunity (Continuing Education)
BioAg Pro instructs students about techniques, technologies, and equipment used in agriculture and plant sciences.
News: Durham Tech Foundation named 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder
Bank of America has selected Durham Technical Community College Foundation as one of this year’s two Neighborhood Builder award winners.
The Foundation will be awarded $200,000 over the next two years towards various projects undertaken by the Center for College and Community Service as well as leadership training.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Policies and Procedures Manual: Durham Technical Community College provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations to qualifying individuals with a documented disability who are otherwise able to satisfy the requirements related to their status as students at the College.
Support Student Scholarships
Support scholarships for students may be funded through donations of $1,000 or more annually. Permanently endowed scholarships may be created at the $25,000+ level to support an award in perpetuity.
