It's hot, y'all. It's hot and humid and sticky and gross. This is that part of a North Carolina summer my relatives in Pennsylvania tell me is inhumane. (The joke is on them when they get snow in November though.) Sometimes, when the sun seems angry at you personally and the world feels like it's falling apart (see: pandemic, police brutality, climate change, the 24-hour news cycle), there's nothing better than some ice cream to cool off and coat your insides with delicious sugar (or dairy-free
Help us name our library skeleton on Main Campus for a chance to win a Starbucks gift card (generously donated by an anonymous Friend of the Library). Winners will be announced at the beginning of November. No need to wander into the woods for a fright—our library shelves are brimming with chills and thrills enough to make even the bravest reader look over their shoulder. This October, step into a world where every creak of the floorboards and rustle of pages hints at something lurking just out

Much of what you can do with "Classic" Quizzes you will also be

Just a reminder that Durham Tech, including the Library, will be closed for Thanksgiving Break on Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24. We'll see you again on Monday, November 27 for the final push towards the end of the semester. Many of us will be seeing our families (blood or chosen) for this short Thanksgiving break or sometime over the next month of various food holidays, and while we love them, sometimes it's nice to have a little break. If you're looking to stretch, explore, or adapt
Dr. Phail Wynn Jr, was president of Durham Technical Community College from 1980-2007. When Dr. Wynn made a generous donation to the library in 2007, the library created a special collection in his name. Dr. Wynn requested the collection pertain to socially responsible topics such as ecology and the environment, cultural awareness, global citizenship, teaching tolerance, appreciating diversity, fighting poverty, and promoting world peace. The library is very proud of this collection and we add

You did it!), students should have stopped by the Security Office on Main Campus or Security Desk at the Northern Durham Center or Orange County Campus to order or update their student ID. Please be aware that students without updated Durham Tech student IDs will not be allowed into the Main Campus library starting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 (see below for more information on the ID policy). However, a current student ID doesn't just get you
