News: 60 for 60: Durham Tech/GlaxoWellcome Technology Center opens on Main Campus in 1997
In November 1997, Main Campus grew by one more building.

The Durham Tech/GlaxoWellcome Technology Center opened its doors to serve students in healthcare programs. That same year, the Durham Tech Foundation received its largest gift of $500,000 from GlaxoSmithKline to outfit the building with equipment needed for programs.

Esthetics Technology (Continuing Education)
Students receive intensive training in the areas of facials, hair removal, and make-up application to become a licensed skin care specialist.
Cardiovascular (Non-Invasive) Technician (Continuing Education)
This 324-hour hybrid course is designed to prepare the student to become a certified Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT).
Phlebotomists
These medical personnel draw blood for tests, transfusions, blood drives, and research.
Business Administration AAS
The Business Administration Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system emphasizing fundamental business skills and knowledge, covering accounting, business law, economics, management, and marketing.
Respiratory Therapy AAS
Equip yourself for success in respiratory care with Durham Tech. Learn cognitive & psychomotor skills essential to respiratory care. Start your healthcare journey!
Networking and Support (Continuing Education)
These Continuing Education courses introduce students to Network concepts as well as competencies and skills that allows students to install, configure, diagnose, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain basic networking on personal computers.
