Durham Main Campus
The Testing Center is located in the Wynn Center (Building 10), room 10-300. Photo ID and Durham Tech Student ID number are mandatory. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes after the start time listed.
- In-person testing: Please note the following guidelines prior to your arrival at the Testing Center:
All students must apply to the college and receive a student ID number before taking the placement test.
A photo ID and Durham Tech student ID number is required in order to take the test.
Food and drinks are not allowed in the Testing Center.
All cell phones and pagers must be turned off during testing.
Children are not permitted in the Testing Center.
Please arrive on time. If you expect to be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule.
- Online Testing: Students taking online placement testing must have a personal computer and internet access. Students may not use a mobile device for placement testing. Schedule at least 24 hours before the test date. A confirmation email from taylore@durhamtech.edu will be sent with further details and questions. Please respond back to the email at the latest, the day before your scheduled test date to secure your space for testing. Students who schedule less than 24 hours before the test date may not receive an email in time for the test and will not be able to take the test.
- ATI TEAS testing is restricted to Durham Tech Nursing Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Respiratory Therapy students. Students must register and pay online 15 days prior to taking the test. View more information and remember to bring your email confirmation with your username and password to the testing location. Students must arrive on time in order to begin the test. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to start the test. The time limit is up to 3.8 hours.
Orange County Campus Testing
Placement testing at OCC is not available at this time. Check the Orange County Student Services webpage for advising, financial aid counseling, and career counseling information.
