Mathematicians

Mathematicians conduct research in fundamental mathematics or in application of mathematical techniques to science, management, and other fields. They solve problems in various fields using mathematical methods.

Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in Mathematics should complete the Associate in Science (AS) degree which will transfer to all UNC System schools, most North Carolina independent colleges and universities, and most out of state institutions.

Salaries vary widely depending on the position.
