The cost of attending Durham Tech includes tuition, student administrative fees, and books. Some programs, such as healthcare and culinary programs, require additional expenses throughout the course or upon completion of the program, such as uniforms, clinicals, licensure, and certification exams. They are listed by course under supply and miscellaneous fees. Program pages include an estimate of total program cost.
- In-state and out-of-state tuition costs
- Student administrative fees – Students are charged a student administrative fee each fall, spring, and summer semester. The fees are calculated on a sliding scale, based on the number of credit hours in which a student is enrolled.
- Course supply and miscellaneous fees – A supply fee is charged for some credit courses due to a higher than average number of supplies or additional supplies required.
Tuition is established by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges and the North Carolina General Assembly are approved each year as part of the state budget process.
