Registered Nurse

Registered nurses, or RNs, bear a significant amount of the weight when it comes to caring for patients.

These health care workers tend to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled patients through such processes as assessing their problems and needs and maintaining detailed reports and records. RNs can also direct and supervise other medical personnel such as less experienced nurses.

Those called to this profession can begin their career path through the Durham Tech Associate Degree Nursing curriculum, which is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
