CUL-3340A Cake Decorating I: Foundation
This introductory course provides students with the fundamental skills required for cake decorating in both home and commercial bakery settings. Students will learn proper cake preparation, storage, frosting techniques, piping skills, color application, and basic cake design principles. Through hands-on practice, students will develop precision, creativity, and confidence while creating celebration cakes. Upon completion, students should be able to prepare, decorate, and present basic specialty cakes using industry-standard techniques.
