COS-3101MA Manicurist I

Manicurist I is the first of two courses in the Manicurist program and will cover subjects such as performing a basic manicure and pedicure (including shaping nails, removing cuticles, and polishing nails), infection control, professional image, bacteriology, nail structure, and nail diseases and disorders. Completion of both courses in the program will educate students in the theoretical and practical skills, the safety precautions and measures, and the proper infection control and disinfection procedures. The proficiencies acquired will prepare the student to achieve licensure in the state of North Carolina and obtain an entry-level position in manicuring or in a related field.
