College Excellence Awards
Each year, Durham Tech faculty and staff members receive award for outstanding performance in a variety of areas.
Excellence in Teaching Award
Presented to an employee who demonstrates exemplary teaching. Co-workers nominate instructors. Nominees will be invited to submit a teaching portfolio. Portfolio submissions are mandatory in order to be considered for the award.
Excellence in Support Services Award
Presented to non-faculty employees to promote excellence and innovation and to encourage employee dedication in service to Durham Tech.
An employee may be nominated by staff or faculty submitting the nomination form. An employee may not self-nominate and may not submit more than one nomination for award consideration each year.
Excellence in Community Engagement Award
Presented to an employee who demonstrates exemplary leadership and dedication in serving the community. The award may be in recognition of individual service or for the promotion of service on Durham Tech’s campus.
To be considered for the award, a candidate must complete an application. Co-workers may also nominate a fellow employee. If you think a co-worker deserves this award, please submit the nomination form. The potential candidate will be contacted and asked to submit an application for consideration.
Excellence in Adjunct Teaching and Part-time Service Award
Nominated by fellow employees, this award is presented for outstanding academic teaching.
