Complete the following steps to apply to for financial aid:

admissions-step-1.gifSubmit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online or download the My Student Aid Mobile App and complete it on your phone. A new FAFSA must be completed each year.

Important Note: With significant changes to the application and the FAFSA processing system being rebuilt, the 2024-2025 FAFSA release date, which is typically October 1, will be delayed to sometime December 2023 (date will be forthcoming when determined by the Department of Education.) Stay tuned here for updates.

  • Choose the academic year that matches, not the calendar year. Each academic year starts in the fall, and end in the summer. For example, the 2023-2024 FAFSA is for Fall 2023, and spring and summer of 2024.
  • Select Durham Technical Community College using our federal school code 005448.
