A new year, a new set of Read Great Things categories. Are you ready to participate? What is the Read Great Things Challenge? The Read Great Things Challenge is a personal reading challenge sponsored by the Durham Tech Library throughout 2019 that encourages folks to diversify and/or increase their reading goals by completing books that fit into at least 10 of the following 12 categories: A book that will help you with one of your personal goals A book by or about someone you admire A social
Life can be unorganized, and with all the digital options out there, choosing productivity and other helpful "life" apps can almost be an additional burden. In order to help narrow down a huge playing field, the library asked Durham Tech faculty and staff what their favorite productivity apps are for managing their time and life. The N.C. State Historical Records Advisory Board has selected Durham Technical Community College Library as a 2022 participant in the Traveling Archivist Program (TAP). A team of archivists from the State Archives and partner institutions will serve six organizations this year with virtual consultations, on-site training, and supplies to improve preservation and access for document, photograph, and/ or film collections.
