Supporting Every Learner: A Guide to the New Course Accessibility Checker in Canvas
The next time you visit one of your classes in Canvas, you might notice there’s a new feature available to you. On the righthand side of your course Home page, you’ll see a new Check Accessibility button, and in your course menu, a new navigation link labeled Accessibility will appear. Both of these will take you to the new Course Accessibility Checker. What is the Course Accessibility Checker? You may already be familiar with the Accessibility Checker built into the Rich Content Editor (RCE)

Library Winter Break Schedule

Have an assignment in one of the sciences? Try out ScienceDirect! ScienceDirect offers access to scholarly science journal content, including life, medical, technical, social, and physical sciences. You can search using your own keywords, search specific journals by title, or browse by science type or journal title. Additionally, over 1.2 million articles on ScienceDirect are Open Access, meaning they are peer-reviewed and made freely available for everyone to read, download, and reuse
Great new resource for debates and pro/con research
Opposing Viewpoints in Context is an online resource covering today’s important social issues such as computer hacking, immigration, same-sex marriage, and voting rights. The differing viewpoints present each side of an issue and help students develop critical thinking skills and draw their own conclusions. Content includes viewpoint articles, newspaper, magazine and academic journal articles, videos, audio, recommended websites, graphics, and statistics. It's an excellent place to begin
Book Drive for Book Harvest
Donate Books for Kids! The Library and Center for College and Community Service are co-sponsoring a Book Drive for local nonprofit, Book Harvest, that began Monday and runs through Friday, April 1st. Book Harvest collects new and gently used children's books for triangle families who need them. Collection bins are located in the library on Main Campus and at the Orange County Campus, as well as in the Food Pantry, Phillips Building, room 310C. Book Harvest needs books for young children
