News: Durham political fixture, civil rights activist will speak at Durham Tech for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event
N.C. Rep. Henry M. Michaux, Jr. will be the featured speaker at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event hosted by Durham Technical Community College.
Michaux has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for more than 40 years, making him the longest-serving member in the state’s House. He is set to retire after his current term.
News: Durham Tech, Novo Nordisk celebrate apprenticeship signings
Leading global healthcare company Novo Nordisk held an apprenticeship signing for two Durham Tech students who are joining the company for a year. The apprenticeship program is part of the partnership the College, Novo Nordisk and ApprenticeshipNC launched in January 2023 to support and grow the talent pipeline in life sciences fields.
Newton Makerspace
The Newton Makerspace is a collaborative workspace that provides students and faculty at Durham Tech with access to specialized tools and equipment to turn their ideas into physical objects.
Health and Wellness Program Requirements
Health Health and Wellness programs have a limited number of spaces for admissions each year. Due to the limited spaces, admission to a health technology program is gained either by a first-qualified, first-admitted process (for most health programs) or by a competitive admissions process (for nursing programs).
CTRA Essential Skills
Students applying to the CTRA program must demonstrate sufficient physical and emotional health to be considered fit to participate in academic education and laboratory experiences, and to practice clinically with clinical research professionals and the public in a safe and effective manner.
Journalism
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree in Journalism at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
English Literature
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree in English Literature at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
Middle Grades Education: Language Arts
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree in Middle Grades Education: Language Arts at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
