Films on Demand has over 43,000 titles with content relevant for all kinds of subjects, from welding instructional videos to PBS documentaries. To access, navigate to it by using the Articles, Journals, and Databases box on the Library website. Starting a new semester can be both exciting and daunting, whether you're a new or returning student. It's important to set yourself up for success. Consider the following five tips tohelp you have the best semester possible: Plan for college academically. Make sure you're meeting with your advisor and keeping up with the requirements of your program. Thinking of changing programs? It's December 1, which means you have 30 (or 31, depending how you count it) days to complete your 2021 Read Great Things Challenge and/or the 2021 Reading SPRINT! Since the Read Great Things Challenge is year-long, if you're planning on reading that last book or two over winter break, go for it! You have time! If you've already finished books throughout 2021 that fit into at least 10 of the 12 RGT2021 categories, you can go ahead and fill out the online completion form or drop your paper form
One item of wrap-up before moving on to 2024-- if you haven't filled out the Read Great Things 2023 completion form to document your "win," you have until Thursday, February 15 to do so. Not sure if you've "won"? Click on the form or the 2023 challenge information guide. You'll have needed to complete 10 categories in total, but can double-dip, so five well-chosen books can do it for you. No sign up was necessary, so if you read it in 2023, you could win! Prizes will be available late February
Fall 2024 was rough, y'all. The Library ran out of both loaner laptops and calculators within the first weeks of class and, we were operating on a waitlist for the whole 16 weeks. We hated it as much as you did. THANKFULLY, we're mostly great now and ready to check out Chromebooks and loaner calculators to those who need them thanks to our NC DIT Digital Champion Grant which will allow us to buy more and refresh our current circulating Chromebooks AND purchase additional TI-84 graphing

New Quizzes is a tool instructors can use to create and administer their online quizzes in Canvas.
