News: Durham Tech Grad invited to to attend Warrior-Scholar Project Academic Bootcamp
Brandon Armani, a veteran and Durham Tech student since 2024, has been invited to attend the Chicago area Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) Academic Bootcamp where he will have the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and strategies needed to thrive in higher education. The bootcamp will be held at the University of Chicago and lasts seven days. 
News: Durham Tech graduates more than 350 during 60th commencement celebration
​​​​​​​Hundreds of families, friends, Durham Tech employees, and alumni walked into the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) Wednesday evening and filled the seats to attend Durham Tech’s 60th commencement to celebrate the graduating class of 2022. 

More than 350 crossed the stage and received their degree or diploma during the ceremony Wednesday. 

Ibrahim Cissé, 2021 MacArthur “Genius Grant” Fellow and 2002 Durham Tech alumnus, gave an inspiring commencement speech that spoke to the education and preparation he received at Durham Tech prior to his award-winning career. 
News: Durham Tech’s Johnson-Arnold honored as Live Fierce award recipient
Letitia Johnson-Arnold, coordinator for the Community Health Worker program at Durham Tech, was honored as the 2024 Triangle Heart Walk Live Fierce award recipient at the recent American Heart Association Heart Walk.

The award, presented by Vontier, honors individuals or organizations that “live fierce” for themselves, their loved ones and their community and that are catalysts for longer, healthier lives for people.

Novo Nordisk, a leading global healthcare company that produces innovative medicines to treat diabetes and rare blood disorders, announces a $6 million gift to Durham Technical Community College to support the College’s life sciences program and a new 35,000-square-foot Life Sciences Training Center. This donation was presented today at a news conference on Durham Tech’s Main Campus.

The Durham Technical Community College Math Team achieved another top three finish in the ninth annual North Carolina Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges’ Math Competition (NCMATYC) on Nov. 10 at Davidson Community College in Thomasville.

In her sixth year of judging recipes and food at the North Carolina State Fair, Durham Tech Executive Chef and Café Manager Jordan Fulchiero looks forward to the event each fall.

“It is fun in and of itself but made so especially because it is nice to see industry friends that I see this one time of the year,” Fulchiero said.
