National Library Week is April 23-29, 2023, a time celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions, and promote library use and support. This year's theme is There's More to the Story. Today is Right to Read Day, a call to action to fight back against censorship to defend, protect, and celebrate your right to read freely. At the end of the spring semester, the Library and the Durham Tech Fine Arts classes come together to host a student art display. We look forward to this event each year. I’m doing the POPSUGAR reading challenge this year so I read this book to fulfill the steampunk novel requirement. What did you like about it? I enjoyed the main character who, unmarried, is considered to be a spinster but never lets that stop her from doing what she wants. She is a heroine who is very direct in thought, speech, and action, which is refreshing

A lot of what I’ve read lately qualifies as literary fiction about a family over a long period of time. Fates and Furies examines the lives of and marriage between Lancelot Satterwhite and Mathilde Yoder.
