Fall classes start on Monday, August 16, which means next week is Fall Semester Preparation Week! The Library (and the College with the exception of the Bookstore) will be closed to students on Monday, August 9 for professional development. The Library will reopen to students on Tuesday, August 10. Check the Library and College website for up-to-date hours for next week and the fall semester. What's new for the fall semester? The North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation has awarded $50,000 to the Durham Technical Community College Foundation to create the Dr. Phail Wynn, Jr. Library Endowment. Dr. Phail Wynn, Jr. served as president of Durham Tech for 27 years. Upon his retirement in 2007, he established The Dr. Phail Wynn, Jr. Collection at the Durham Tech Library. Murrow, we at the Durham Tech library wish librarian Bill Frazier all the best as he signs off—as this semester ends, he will be closing the chapter on his time at Durham Tech.
