News: Durham Tech, Duke Energy launch new Electrical Line Technician program
The new Electrical Line Technician program at Durham Technical Community College was officially launched at an event at the College’s Northern Durham Center campus on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
The program was created in partnership with Duke Energy to help fill future regional job openings. A nearly $200,000 Duke Energy grant is funding the program.

Food and Nutrition Services Training Program
The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) voluntary program provides education and training opportunities along with job search strategies that lead to sustainable employment. The program is a collaboration between Durham Technical Community College and Orange County Department of Social Services.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation University Transfer Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation awards dozens of scholarships to help students with exceptional promise and demonstrated financial need earn a baccalaureate degree from a four-year college. The amount and duration of awards vary by student based on the cost of attendance and the length of the program as well as other scholarships or grants received.
