It's a new semester here at Durham Tech which means the Library has a huge haul of brand new books to check out. This is going to be a long list since I had a hard time choosing which ones to highlight. Believe me when I say we have so many more awesome books on the New Books shelf right now!
Now that NaNoWriMo has started, here are a few books at the library that can help get the creative juices flowing. Here are tips, tricks, and advice from writers of both fiction and nonfiction. The library has the first three graphic novels in the recent Black Panther series and we have just ordered the fourth. The library is thrilled to be hosting our third annual Student Art Exhibition. Come see the amazing art by our extremely talented Associate in Fine Arts students. In honor of libraries everywhere, we wanted to share a sweet and amazing story about the donkey libraries, Biblioburros, in Columbia. "By adapting the packsaddles of his two donkeys, Alfa and Beto, from carrying water to carrying books, Luis created a makeshift mobile library and set off to take his books to children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to reading materials.
