News: Wilsons honored for service, support
Jean and Charles “Chuck” Wilson Jr. were honored this fall by the College for their remarkable service and generosity.

With more than 25 years of dedicated commitment, the Wilsons have made a lasting impact on the Durham Tech community.

“Durham Tech is an institution we are proud of, and we are grateful for it being located in Durham,” Jean Wilson said. “It is a place where people find their place in the world and make a better life.”
News: William Peace University, Durham Tech announce new transfer partnership
William Peace University and Durham Technical Community College have entered a partnership to further the missions of both institutions.
The agreement will provide educational advancement opportunities for graduates of Durham Tech. WPU and Durham Tech also will collaborate on program innovations and needs and seek opportunities to advance the partnership.

News: Delayed opening Jan. 7, 2025
Durham Tech plans to open Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 10 a.m. for all students and employees, except for essential personnel and those at Northern Durham Center, which will operate on a normal schedule.

News: ‘It’s all about making a difference’
Chef Betty Redwood-Brown, Durham Tech culinary arts instructor, is spearheading a new partnership between the College and the Orange Correctional Center in Hillsborough in which she is teaching inmates cooking skills.
“I’m excited to be the instructor,” she said. “It’s awesome!”
Redwood-Brown has a history of working organizations outside the classroom. She said the Orange Correctional program played into her passion for reaching out into the community.
Innovate Carolina Junction
Durham Tech has partnered with UNC-Chapel Hill to have office and meeting space inside the Innovate Carolina Junction in downtown Chapel Hill. The Junction is home to the Orange County Office of Durham Tech's Small Business Center and serves as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

Fox Family Foundation and Durham Technical Community College share similar missions: engage with and support community members with a vision of enriching and improving lives. The Durham Tech community is pleased to partner with Fox Family Foundation to enhance access to health care for underserved communities while also educating and preparing current and future allied health workers.

Fox Family Foundation recently made a significant investment in Durham Tech’s Community Health Lab (CHL) by awarding a generous grant to sustain current operations and expand program services.
