This month we are highlighting memoirs, biographies, autobiographies, and fictionalized stories about real people (look for this post soon!). Any of these books will count for this category in the challenge, but you are more than welcome to find your own book as well. One item of wrap-up before moving on to 2024-- if you haven't filled out the Read Great Things 2023 completion form to document your "win," you have until Thursday, February 15 to do so. Not sure if you've "won"? Click on the form or the 2023 challenge information guide. Durham Tech Library celebrated the Read Great Things Challenge 2018 with tea and cookies on Wed. Dec. 12 from 11:00-1:00. Participants talked about books they read this year, swapped books, and learned about the categories for next year's Read Great Things Challenge 2019. It's time for another make-at-home Crafternoon adventure! The Student Government Association and the Library are giving out tie dye kits to current students, which include three colors (blues, yellows, and reds), gloves, and some rubber bands. In addition to our computers upstairs, our main campus (ERC) library is glad to be able to offer a computer lab that is open to all current Durham Tech students! In the ERC lab, which is down the stairs inside the library and immediately to the right, our lab monitors offer technical support, a scanner is available, and you can print up to 10 black and white pages for free each day.
