Thanksgiving @ Your Library
Thanksgiving is just a little over a week away! For yours truly, this holiday is about the three fs: family, food and football! I will enjoy the day cooking and visiting with my relatives while watching my beloved Carolina Panthers take on the Dallas Cowboys. Speaking of football, CQ Researcher recently published an in-depth report titled NFL Controversies. Chief among the issues it highlights is the occurrence, detection and prevention of concussions among players. The main campus library also

We're inspired by Marley Dias and her campaign for diverse children's books
Marley Dias, age 11, is an inspiration! When she got frustrated by the lack of diversity in her school’s required reading, she did something about it. One evening at dinner, she spoke to her mom about her frustration. "I told her I was sick of reading about white boys and dogs," Dias said, pointing specifically to "Where the Red Fern Grows" and the "Shiloh" series. Dias’ activist mother helped her realize that she could do something about it. Marley told her mother that she was "going to start a
What We're Reading: The Lying Game

I have read the other books by Ruth Ware – In a Dark, Dark Wood (a favorite!) and The Woman in Cabin 10. I was waiting to read her latest one. What did you like about it? How the plot begins: a text of three words: I need you. Then three texts in reply: I’m coming. I’m coming. I’m coming. Fatima, Thea, Isa and Kate were best friends in

Like IQ , this is a fast-paced detective story featuring Isaiah Quintabe (“IQ”), a self-made private investigator in Los Angeles. IQ uses a combination of reasoning, cunning, surveillance and lock-picking skills and Krav Maga in his pursuit of justice. Several characters return from Ide’s debut novel in this sequel. When IQ
