As Early Voting begins today in North Carolina, the library has a display of resources about voting rights and history to remind us of the importance of casting our ballots. There are also excellent ebooks in ebrary and streaming video in Films on Demand. Visit the NC Voter Guide to locate early voting places, your polling location, and more. This week in Out Loud in the Library I spoke with Charmaine Grafton, President of the Student Government Association. For all those who have met her, you already know she is a delightful and authentic person. It was a pleasure to get to speak to her and learn about what the SGA is up to this year. They are adapting to the online environment admirably. But, I don't need to tell you that. You can listen for yourself!
We are starting off the New Year with a few technical difficulties. The most important of these is that the computers in the library computer lab have crashed, and so right now our computer lab is closed. Our upstairs public computers are available for use; you can print b/w copies for 5 cents a page or we can help you save your work to print later. Free printing (10 pages a day) for Durham Tech students is available at the Wynn Center computer lab. Our IT department is working hard to resolve
