Any individual coming to a Durham Tech campus or location will now be required to complete a daily check-in form to confirm that they and anyone whom they have been in close contact with is free of COVID-19 symptoms.
Durham Technical Community College in partnership with Research Triangle Foundation of NC announced the opening of a new campus location focused on customized industry training in Research Triangle Park (RTP). Located at the Frontier RTP 600 Building near the Hub RTP development, the site houses the leadership of the College’s Center for Workforce Engagement and training space for the College’s work with industry partners.
This partnership with the Research Triangle Foundation positions Durham Tech in the center of RTP, with the Park’s 375 established companies and a growing network of 150 emerging startups. The Center’s offices and training location sits next to the highly anticipated downtown district, Hub RTP.

For the seventh consecutive year, Durham Technical Community College has partnered with Sister Cities of Durham to host students from the Sister City of Toyama, Japan – nearly 200 miles northwest of Tokyo – for an English immersion program, which is housed at the Durham Tech Small Business and Corporate Education Center.

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program announced Wednesday, April 5, that Durham Technical Community College Vice President and Chief Campus Operations Officer Dr. Susan Bowen is one of 35 leaders selected for the 2023-24 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship. This program, delivered in collaboration with the Stanford Educational Leadership Initiative, prepares the next generation of community college presidents to transform institutions to achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.
